During the festive season, giving back to the community becomes a priority for many. However, the hustle and bustle of the holidays can make it challenging to find the time to do so.
With more than 1 million visits being made to food banks every month, Canadians can help alleviate hunger in their community by donating food, funds or time.
This year, Egg Farmers of Canada and Food Banks Canada are giving Canadians the gift of time through delicious, ready-to-make recipes developed by a network of chefs across the country. Easy to create and thoughtfully stored in Mason jars, these simple recipes were designed to give time back to Canadians to spend with loved ones and make meaningful contributions to their community.
Community engagement is rooted in the traditions of family farming across our country, and egg farmers are long-time supporters of food banks. In fact, the Egg Farmers of Canada and Food Banks Canada partnership is one that spans over two decades and has delivered millions of fresh, nutritious eggs to local food banks.
This holiday season, use #RecipesThatGive to inspire others with your favourite time-saving holiday recipe and tell us how you are using your time to make a difference through your local food bank. Next, challenge someone else to do the same!
